The heroes of private land conservation are the landowners who protect biodiversity on their land. With over 100 landowners now protecting vital habitat from the Queensland border to the Murray River and out west around Griffith and Bourke, there is a huge diversity of people who have taken the step to protect their land on behalf of the native flora and fauna. Many of the landowners are farmers who care greatly for the land, understand its rhythms and are committed to a healthy and productive landscape for both humans and the plants and animals that depend on it.
Rural landowners love the land. They know holistic land care is critical for a sustainable future.
